Mark obtained his BA from U of T (2005) and his MA from McGill (2008), both in Political Science. In September, he will begin his PhD at McGill under Jody Heymenn at the Institute for Health and Social Policy. Mark's research will examine the different policy responses of Uganda and South Africa to HIV/AIDS with a focus on the role of civil society and local level participation.
Mark's current interests are African politics, HIV/AIDS, political theory, & the role of emotions in politics.
