Françoise Montambeault obtained her BA (2002) and MA (2004) in Political Science from Université de Montréal. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in political science at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Philip Oxhorn.

Françoise’s dissertation explores the relationship between local governance, citizenship rights and democracy in Latin America, with a focus on the cases of Mexico and Brazil. Her research interests include citizenship, democracy, development, etc.
